In addition to our lawsuit, NVAC continues to file National Grievances against VA over the MCBA Termination.
NG-08/13/25 (MCBA Termination 1.0, Official Facilities)
• VA is refusing to provide office space, equipment, and technology to AFGE Locals that represent Exempted Employees (police offices, firefighters, and security guards).
NG-08/29/25 (MCBA Termination 2.0, Refusal to Recognize AFGE Reps)
• VA is refusing to recognize AFGE officials who are representing Exempted Employees because they are not, themselves, police officers, firefighters, and security guards.
NG-09/05/25 (MCBA Termination 3.0, Official Time and Office Space)
• VA is refusing to provide official time or office space to AFGE representatives and AFGE Locals due to Executive Order 14251. This case preserve NVAC's grievance rights pending litigation.
NG-09/09/25 (MCBA Termination 4.0, E-Dues Interference)
• VA is providing false information about the role of AFGE and NVAC. VA is also providing instructions to VA employees on how to cancel membership through AFGE E-Dues.
NG-09/16/25 (MCBA Termination 5.0, VA SharePoint Access)
• VA terminated AFGE access to existing SharePoint sites containing union records and unilaterally established new procedures governing the future use of SharePoint.
NG-09/19/25 (MCBA Termination 6.0, Arbitrability Procedures)
• VA unilaterally implemented arbitrability procedures that require NVAC to respond within 7 days clarifying whether grievances are "intended" to cover non-Exempted Employees.
NG-10/20/25 (MCBA Termination 7.0, VA Committees)
• VA removed AFGE representatives from various VA Committees even though they continue to represent Exempted Employees.
NG-10/21/25 (MCBA Termination 8.0, New Employee Orientation)
• VA is refusing to allow AFGE Locals to attend and present at New Employee Orientation even though they continue to represent Exempted Employees. For more information, please visit www.afgeNVAC.org/legal.
