In This Briefing:  Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) Update

    All,

We have received the following information regarding administration of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA). Please note that Supervisors and Managers are responsible for approving/disapproving leave requested under FFCRA. Our Leave Team can assist with questions (OCCWFMLeavePrograms@va.gov) but cannot approve/disapprove FFCRA leave for your employees.

See the following links to documents for your reference and distribution:

    1.  FFCRA Bulletin from the Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer (OCHCO) provides guidance on leave administration and implementation of the FFCRA.

    2.  Supervisors and Managers are required to use this Excel spreadsheet for tracking FFCRA leave.

    3.  Please provide these three documents to employees considering use of FFCRA:

    4.  Timekeepers entering FFCRA leave in VATAS should reference this document for proper coding.

We will continue to provide additional guidance as it becomes available. Please consult these resources for information about FFCRA. The Leave Team will answer questions based on this information, but again, cannot approve/disapprove FFCRA leave for your employees.

Alma L. Lee, National VA Council, President
