We have received numerous inquiries from locals and various sources asking, “What is NVAC doing about the actions coming from the current administration?”
The concerns range from:
The firing of probationary VA employees
OPM email entitled “What did you do last week?”
Return-to-work orders
The anticipated RIF (Reduction in Force)
OPM and VA’s official time recording and space targeting
…and more.
Please know that we are actively working to triage inquiries from the press, Congressional leaders, and other urgent matters as quickly as possible.
Current Actions
AFGE, NVAC and other labor unions together played an integral role in the legal battle over the mass firings of probationary employees, which ultimately led to the oversight agency finding the terminations unlawful.
NVAC has filed a National Grievance on the Return-to-Work order as well as issued a formal Demand To Bargain with the Agency over matters not covered by our MCBA.
The NVAC Legal Team is investigating the matter of the OPM email entitled “What did you do last week?” and collecting evidence of potential violations of the Back Pay Act.
NVAC has facilitated the connection of terminated probationary employees with congressional leaders to help share their stories nationwide.
