Senate Democratic Letter on C&P Exams

On November 20, 2020, Senator Jon Tester (D-MT), the Ranking Member of the Senate Committee Veterans’ Affairs, and 10 other Democratic Senators wrote a letter to VA Secretary Robert Wilkie strongly criticizing the VA’s extensive use of contractors to perform C&P Exams.

The letter raises many of the concerns that AFGE and the NVAC have identified on this issue and asks the VA to answer a dozen probing questions.

A copy of the letter is attached.

AFGE and NVAC were happy to help provide information and examples from around the country to the committee as it wrote this letter, and we eagerly await the results from the VA.
