  • The PRO Act
    Updated On: Sep 21, 2021

    Brothers and Sisters,

Please click on the link https://proact.aflcio.org/ where you can lean about the PRO Act and click the yellow "take action" button to sign the petition or/and write your Senators.

    The PRO Act Will

Hold Employers Accountable When They Violate Workers' Rights

The PRO Act will empower workers to exercise our freedom to organize and bargain, and ensure that workers can reach a first contract quickly after a union is recognized.

Ensure Most Workers Have NLRA Protections

The PRO Act will end employers' practice of punishing striking workers by hiring permanent replacements. Speaking up for labor rights is within every worker's rights--and no worker should lose their job for it.

Protect Collective Action and Remove Barriers to Worker Voice

The PRO Act will hold corporations accountable by strengthening the National Labor Relations Board and allowing it to penalize employers who retaliate against working people who support the union or collective bargaining.

    Strengthen Employees' Bargaining Rights

The PRO Act will repeal "right to work" laws--divisive and racist laws created during the Jim Crow era--that lead to lower wages, fewer benefits and more dangerous workplaces.

Modernize Union Election and Enforcement Processes

The PRO Act will create pathways for workers to form unions, without fear, in newer industries like Big Tech.
